Kosas - Our Founder
Ever since Sheena Yaitanes was a child, science and creativity had always been passions of hers. Experimenting with bold looks and makeup were often her past-time throughout her childhood. At the age of ten, she created her first “Glitter Gel Highlighter” makeup product. Encouraged, her dream to pursue this path would soon become a reality.
After some time at college, she had her “lightbulb moment” and recognized that make-up can play a role in skin care as well. After a few years of exploring this possibility, Sheena launched Kosas in 2014 with 4 lipsticks. Her new products sported earthy blends, along with rejuvenating ingredients.
Kosas’ founder, Sheena Yaitenes, believes that beauty should be fun and experimental. Her design and brand perfectly embody just that.
Kosas – Our Ingredients
Kosas began with the hopes of creating the comfiest, most effective, skin-improving products. They did not expect to create a clean brand, but clean ingredients are proven as the best ingredients for these goals. Nature is their top ingredient source, formulated to react kindly to sensitive skin. Bringing back healthy skin is a top priority.
To achieve healthier skin, over 2,700 ingredients that adhere to the EU, Sephora and Credo clean standards are not used in Kosas products. Harmful ingredients such as aluminum, silicones, sulfates and parabens are simply unable to achieve natural beauty. Along with the long list of harmful ingredients, Kosas goes above and beyond by listing out the clinically proven ingredients that are poured into each product. These natural ingredients show real skincare results.
